Re: what the stuff called that covers camper wood.
What's wrong with Fablon? Here's the before & after of what Fablon can do. [] Nothings "wrong" with Fablon itself. Just that I always see it peeling off or having been put on creased. That's why i formed the opinion that it was not ideal. Doesnt seem that durable because of the above....

Fablon ?
On a roll.
Looks nasty ?
You don't mean that do you.................
What about varnishing the plywood.
Like they did years ago on yachts.

Re: speado neddle
Most likely it needs a new cable and cap that goes into the fitting on the passenger side front wheel.
There are two different types of cable.
One that has a clip fitting, and one which has a screw fitting.
They are not interchangeable.

White smoke can also be just condensation on start up.
I do worry about smoke
But I don't worry about the Pope, because he couldn't give a fig about me

Re: Won't advance in power to revs
sounds like you have a "flat spot ". Which, is quite often carb related. What carb do you have ? Do you know how to set it up ? Only saying because Pieberg carbs are complicated ( compared to some other makes ) and it's sometimes easy to make things worse if you're not careful. Best of luc...

every ten thousand miles and hope for the best  Service interval is 6,000 ... but I change our's by ear, which on lpg is between 3,000-4,000 miles with a Mann filter every 2nd change. Running on gas the oil doesn't have the carbon deposits to block the filter. Oil is cheap, engines less so. Ia...

Re: Won't advance in power to revs
great news that its at least running better now. Its hard to tell whether those plugs are sooted up or oiled up by looking at the picture. Before you start worrying about oil and rings, its a good time to check your carburation now that you seem to have got it sparking OK. Rich mixture, fuel dumpimn...

Wish I knew someone around here that could help. There are actually quite a few long established members on here who are based not too far away from you if you take a look at their signatures. As its such a helpful and friendly club,it might be worth you while dropping some of them a PM and...

yes, could be a combination of factors.
Those leads certainly look skewed.

He could not.
Unless, you are saying its slightly loose and vibrating its way slowly around on its own ?
Does seem very odd

Re: Won't advance in power to revs
I'm wondering if your timing is just massively out Look at you dizzy and trace the leads then look at mine its almost 90 deg different Also look at the position of my vac unit compared to yours Try undoing the pinch bolt and rotating the dizzy anti clockwise , mark the position first so you can go ...

Re: Won't advance in power to revs
Would that affect just 2 cylinders ? Wouldnt logically think so would you. But you wouldnt think a misfire would be caused by low oil either  Maybe if the ignition amplifier is playing up, the spark is less strong, and its more noticable on the two weakest plugs , leads, or HT leads. I would at...

Excellent.
Never could get the back to sway around quite like that in a straight line though.
