Re: T25 1.6TD Generator warning light on
Replaced voltage regulator - no joy! Turned out to be a knackered rotor arm! Thanks for the advice though - I've learned a lot.

Re: T25 1.6TD Generator warning light on
Just got the multimeter out. Battery is at 12.5 V with engine off, dropping to 12.25 V with engine running. 5.3 V from blue wire (bolt) on alternator with engine running,0.8V from red (which is a spade connector) Does this make any sense?!

Re: T25 1.6TD Generator warning light on
Haven't done that. If its not too stupid a question, where do I attatch the multimeter to the alternator!!(I'm ashamed of my ignorance!) Also blue wire looks ok as far as I can see, but can't locate it in the black box! Connection to alternator and spade connector by battery seem fine. Thanks for th...

Luggage on the roof?!
Anyone any idea about how much weight the front "luggage area" of a Westy pop top can hold? Was thinking of strapping my awning there - about 18kgs - is this feasible/sensible? Thanks.

Seat belt trim
Hi. Does anyone know if it is still possible to bet hold of the plastic seat belt trim that was fitted to westys? The bit that fits in the rear panel where the webbing emerges, if that makes sense! Thanks.

canvas hassle
Recently bought a westy from a guy who had just fitted a new JK canvas(cheaper one) It was so tight the roof wouldn't elevate properly. ~JK agreed it was a problem with the cut of the canvas and sent a replacement which came with the van when I bought it. Just tried to fit it, and its WAY too tight....

Re: Rear seat belts
Thanks for that. I thought the mountings ought to be there. Problem is the plastic interior trim appears to be rivetted on - worried if I try to take it off I'll not get it back on!

Rear seat belts
I now have a 1986 multivan with rear lap belts (full width rear seat), but could do with three point belts ideally. Is there anywhere other than London/South West that fits these? I'm in Cumbria!!
Cheers, Simon.

Headlight bulbs
Was thinking of fitting "extra bright" bulbs to try an improve things a bit - does anyone know if these are ok to fit, or is there a better way to boost candle power?
