Re: AFN 1.9Tdi injectors
Hi All, Many thanks for your replies. Before I posted this query I have already done a fair bit to this engine to try to find the fault, so to summarise whats happened so far: engine is a 1,9TDi 1Z bloc with AFN head and injectors, with a 1Z (I think) manual fuel pump. The symptoms of the fault are ...

AFN 1.9Tdi injectors
Hi all, Looking to change my injectors as a rule out for a (white) smokey engine on startup... Anyone know what the part numbers are for the 1.9 TDi (110bhp) AFN injectors are? Also are the 1.9Tdi injectors from a ALH (90 bhp Seat Ibiza) these same, I suspect not but its worth a shot maybe just to f...

Re: 1.6TD aux water pump sensor & wiring
Hi Thanks for the quick reply. This is very useful and makes it a lot more clearer. I've checked the engine and I have a plastic flange on the right of the engine as you say. the plastic flange has two sensor outlets, currently on my engine these are occupied by the glow plug sensor and the temp gua...

1.6TD aux water pump sensor & wiring
hi, Still trying to get my syncro done, its a 1.6TD (apologies for the lack of updates of the rebuild thread). My problem is the wiring has been butchered (cut) with only the fuel solenoid connected (at least it runs). I've sussed out most of the wiring except the aux water pump (which also supplies...

Stella? Jed[/quote] Jed wins the prize :ok ....well nearly, closest so far  Its the base product of virtually all rust removers, H3PO4 - Phosphoric acid (check out wikipedia for more info). most rust converters are about 10% or less, the industrial version is 60-85%. Cheers Tom & Jool's for the comments, much appreciated. :ok apologies for lack of updates, the cold and MOT fail on the modern car put paid to time on the bus, so a short report. :( Before, crusty caliper: http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu214/crazy-for-a-dub/20130303_202451_zpsdbf5f3f2.jpg I...
