Check for a lip on the discs, and chamfer the pads it they are wearing unevenly on the edges, and make sure they are 'free' in the carriers, clean and regrease the ends aswell, you can rub them down a bit to make them fit nicely

Black smoke is normally over fueling, sounds like a pump timing issue, req'd the plunger lift setting up,(DTI in the back of the pump at tdc and measure ) also depend how you drive? If your never in to boost and if it's over fueling the exhaust will soot and as soon as you give it a bit extra out co...

Uprated engine mounts?

Hi all
Any body know of a supplier of some decent engine mounts, they are just a pain to change I wanted to put in some decent ones

Check the shockers new bushes my be 'fatter' and causing the noise, I know its a pain but slacken all the bolts that you have had off or loosened then tighten when the weight is on its wheels in there 'normal' position, if they were tightened while jacked up the bushes will be slightly preloaded tor...
