Re: Syncro gearbox oil leak
OK, always the way, post question, immediately find out a bit more info - looks like the reverse gear cover (Thanks Brickwerks! https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/t3-parts/t3-syncro/drivetrain/gearbox/covers-and-seals/reverse-gear-cover-t3-syncro.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return fals...

Syncro gearbox oil leak
Morning all, Back from hols, and noticed this on my "what's gone wrong this time in the last 1,000 miles" check: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/K--R2P0lbEk-XjOmg7AZYotROi9Pl8ZBLMEsWQggtQxRu24GYQMATo3v_6ZENz1JeeJ7sf5KMARBiWCwGjzZVEVjL4cOt_GW7MqR3cFlRBjcGT9rn1CpFMzLnY3sq9N4eFp2T_N2AgDZKvi...

Re: Charging leisure battery also charges main van battery?
Hi, why not leave it as is ? Can't see why you wouldn't want the engine battery topped up as well? After all things like the cab interior lights and the radio are probably running off the engine battery. I have deliberately fitted a system to my van to charge both batteries when on hook up. Just a ...

Re: Charging leisure battery also charges main van battery?
OK, 30 minutes more research on the interwebs and it looks like the Durite split charger I have is bi-directional, ie, any increase in voltage on either battery will activate it (not that this is mentioned anywhere on their documentation). So that probably explains it :( Will check and confirm later...

Charging leisure battery also charges main van battery?
I've just fitted a CTEK charger to my leisure battery, so I can keep it topped up when on hook-up. It's connected directly to the leisure battery, which is still in situ and wired up via a Durite split charger to the main van battery. However, when I turn the CTEK on, both batteries start charging! ...

Re: tow hook bike rack
I've got an older design Buzz support-from-the-bottom 4-bike rack, and can highly recommend (and it's compatible with a swan neck). Looks like they changed this year, so while I can't comment on the newer ones, would expect to be equally good. I paid a bit more and went for the tilting one, means th...

Re: Leisure battery for a 1992 T25..help please
Thanks from me also; Just discovered my old 60ah leisure battery was sill only at 10.4v after a night on the charger, so upgraded to the 90ah Xplorer from ebay. Always good to find this /before/ you go on holiday...

Re: Temperature Gauge Reads Cool
Sounds exactly like the situation I was in a couple of months back; New thermostat fixed it straight away. For me the problem was that the van was running like a pig; it would go ok-ish, but ran very rich, and soiling it's plugs (I've got knackered compression on one of the cylinders which doesn't h...

I've got a mechless Pioneer unit and been really happy with it, got it from here (Cheapest Pioneer is currently £46, but expect to pay a little more if you want bluetooth etc). https://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/category.asp?m=&c=2809&brandfilter=&features=&sort_by_price=ASC&pageIt...

Re: Cut the red wire!
I've used the Paddock upgraded headlamp loom from the thread below (admittedly for single headlamps, but it'll provide enough juice for twins I'd have thought), and it's worked a treat for the last couple of years since I've installed it. May be worth looking at if you'd rather not do too much DIY :...

Re: Adding a ctek charger - to just leisure battery or both?
Thanks bigherb, Will keep it simple for now then with the 5.0, and look into the 250S & Smartpass when I get round to fitting solar & ditching the old Zigg unit at some point :) What you say about the different batteries/charge state makes sense - I've seen a few different systems with banks...

Adding a ctek charger - to just leisure battery or both?
Hi all, Can't quite find the answer in the search, so apologies if this has been asked before :) Looking to add a ctek 5.0 charger to keep my leisure battery topped up when I'm on site with a hook-up. But should I just wire it direct to the leisure battery, or is there any advantage to wiring it to ...

I've got a Clarke's digital torque wrench from Machine Mart, £89. Pleased with it so far, easy to setup & traffic light LED's and beeps for when you're getting to and reach the torque limit you've set: https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke-pro237-12-drive-digital-electronic-to/" onclick=&q...

Re: Cab Floor / Seat box soundproofing and carpet
I've been thinking about this recently too - I've just got full rubber mat kit at the moment (don't know if it's OEM or a kit, sorry), but was thinking of replacing it with something a bit more substantial. On an old Defender I had, I used a Sound Killer kit from these guys, and it worked well. They...
