Re: Illuminated Electric Window Switches.

Thanks for the replies. A replacement switch it is then. Thankfully they are available from Brickwerks, not OEM but close enough and not too expensive.

Illuminated Electric Window Switches.

One of the bulbs that illuminates the electric window switches on my T25 doesn`t work anymore. Is it possible to replace the bulb or is a new switch required. Thanks for any assistance.

Re: Bonded Windows ? Are they possible on a Caravelle ?

Have you considered selling the 'velle and buying a panel van? I`ve had my Caravelle for 15 years now and although I have considered selling it, I`m just too attached to it. I was only toying with the bonded windows idea to see if it was feasible as I`m going to have to spend some serious money on ...

Re: Bonded Windows ? Are they possible on a Caravelle ?

Thanks for the useful advice. It was only an idea but I think the best bet would be to replace all the rubber seals and black the windows out.

After returning from the annual pilgrimage to Cornwall, I have decided that it is time to put right all that is wrong with my 1989, Subaru powered Caravelle. The list includes gearbox overhaul, new ring gear, wheel bearings, rear drum brakes, fuel leaking from the top of the fuel tank when you fill ...

Didn`t VW put a Porsche steering wheel on the Last Limited Edition T25`s ? I wouldn`t mind putting one on my van but I`m not sure which model Porsche the steering wheels come from or if you need to modify them ? Theres also the question as to whether the horn will work or not.

Thanks for the advice. After searching the net for these 382 bulbs, I`ve found a whole selection of orange flashing ones that I never even knew existed. It never occurred to me that the pins on the normal orange coloured bulbs would have the pins offset to prevent some cretin from putting them in th...

On a regular stop, brake or revering light bulb, rated at 21 watts, the locating pins are exactly opposite each other ( 6`o`clock) with one set higher than the other. On the yellow indicator bulbs, rated at 21w, the pins are offset (5`o`clock) so they will not fit in the Hella lamp holder where you ...

Caravelle Digital Clock

Does anyone know if the digital clock in some Transporter/Caravelle models, was common to any other VW`s ? It would be handy to know when I`m routing about in scrap yards to be on the lookout for other models that have parts in common with T25`s.

Surely, you wouldn`t have to take the windows out ? I assume you would just take the old chrome insert out and replace with the black.

Thats a great idea but I prefer the black to the silver. I could always use black paint, I suppose.

Thanks for the advice, fella`s. It looks as though the inserts are the same size so I think I`ll get some of the black stuff and give it a go.
