Happened to me when I got mine. Twice!
First was the ignition switch and second was a single loose wire to the starter motor.

Cheers guys, Well all connections on trailer cleaned/re stripped and re connected. Actual trailer light units are new so no probs there! Will check the connections from van tom and if that fails then I think I will replace all the wiring in case there is problems there. But no doubt it will be a sil...

Trailer lights doing my head in!
Hi Guys, Just replaced the rear socket on the van to wire up to a trailer, also replaced the socket on the trailer. All wired correctly. Wires from trailer socket run into a row of electrical connectors and I worked out what goes where :D But only thing that works is the lights but not the stop ligh...

Electric fuel pump wiring (Novice alert!)
Hi all, Fitting an electric fuel pump to mu 2.0 Aircooled and pretty much know where to fit etc But! Wiring says to wire to oil pressure switch which I don't have so where (in simple laymans terms lol) is the best and easiest place to wire it to? Reg is burning shed loads of oil!
No leaks and puffs of smoke when I slow down.
Smell of burning oil
Wheres the best place to start and what is causing it?
Engine runs like a dream?????
