It's the filler tube seal that I thought was leaking, but it turns out the welded seam on the actual filler tube has a very fine crack in it.

Thanks for that. However, having just reexamined the area, turns out the oil filler tube has a very small crack in it right where it meets the flange. So thats a nice job.......not!

Need to fit a 240v hook up to our van. Having not done this before, I don't know what end of the round three pin plug goes into the van? Male or female end?

We are due to take our van on a little holiday next month, and in the last week BOTH of the solex carbs on our Aircooled have started to leak, and make the van run like rubbish! Points have been adjusted.....and it fired straight up!
