1984 1.9 litre petrol Digijet ECU owners help please!!
Hello everyone, we're having what i'm told is rather a rare problem with the ECU on our van. It's currently at a specialist T25 garage but they're having a few problems diagnosing the fault and we were wondering if anyone with experience of our Digijet fuel injection system had any new ideas. This i...

Re: Newbie alert Is overheating and refusing to restart ok?
Thanks Martin. It's a relief to hear it's unlikely to be of any immediate danger as we've got a long drive down Italy in the morning. I'll post a question in the electrical section.
Thanks again,
Mark

Re: Newbie alert Is overheating and refusing to restart ok?
Thanks Martin. The lights on the dash are coming on, is that a good or bad sign?

Re: Newbie alert Is overheating and refusing to restart ok?
Thanks for your reply. After a long journey the ignition doesn't do anything. When you turn the key nothing happens at all, there isn't even the noise of the fuel pump working. I assumed it was due to overheating as it has happened 3 times and it has always been after a short break during a long jou...

Newbie alert Is overheating and refusing to restart ok?
Hi guys, Currently on our dream European tour and our 1984 watercooled Digijet engine doesn't want to restart if we take a break after a long drive. Having driven for 4 hours in pretty hot conditions the van refuses to restart and we have to leave it for between 10-40 minutes before the ignition sta...

Re: Stuck in Spain need distributor please help!
Hi Billy,
Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry to sound so amateurish (the Westy is my first van), not 100% about the 1plug/round corners but I have the part numbers:
Bosch: 0237022045
VW: 025905205K
Let me know if it helps, I can always ring the garage and ask for more info.

Re: Stuck in Spain need distributor please help!
Hi Billy, Thanks for your help. We're in San Sebastian and a local garage (http://www.anzizar.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) has diagnosed the problem as the distributor. We do have a German imported van (Westy) and we are finding it really hard to find the part - even...

Stuck in Spain need distributor please help!
Hi guys, Have broken down in Spain and need a replacement distributor. My van is a 1984 1.9 petrol engine of the fuel injected Digijet variety. Does anyone have suggestions of where to purchase one (new or used)? I've tried Justkampers but they don't have one for T25s in stock. I've found this after...

Re: Newbie alert! Header tank cap removal
Thanks very much for your super quick response. Checked the coolant levels and both tanks are full. I guess the sensor is a bit dodgy.

Newbie alert! Header tank cap removal
Hi there, recently bought our first T25 and the coolant level light is flashing. I understand both the header and top up tanks should be full but I'm unsure of how you remove the header tank cap. Do you need to remove the pipe that goes to the top up tank to unscrew it? Does it unscrew or do you jus...

Re: Please Help!! Westy circuit breaker keeps switching off
Thanks Meridian911. I unplugged the fridge and it still happened. I've found that it switches off pretty much immediately when plugged in after a long drive and stays on longer when plugged in having used the lights and radio in the van. This leads me to believe that as you suggested the battery cha...

Re: Please Help!! Westy circuit breaker keeps switching off
Thanks for your reply. Just tried what you suggested and turned the fridge to battery setting and unplugged my phone from the socket and it tripped again. The time it takes to trip varies from an hour to just a few minutes. What do you think is the most likely cause and is it something a local elect...

Re: Please Help!! Westy circuit breaker keeps switching off
Hi,
Thanks for your quick response, much appreciated. We've got a reverse polarity tester and the required adapter but the tester says it's fine.
Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
