clutch slave cylinder dumped its load

Ello, My clutch slave cylinder dumped its load the other day all over the road, whilst parked. I had to drive the beast so topped up the reservoir, and it held most of it. Sent it off to the garriage for the MOT with the plan to get the slave cylinder fixed at the same time. They couldn't do it then...

more starter problems

Hello to all, if your starter solonoid clicks but the beast doesn't turn over, and you are sure that its getting enough juice, does it more than likely mean the starter needs replacing or could it be just the bushes? I was told that this could be the solonoid (and from what I understand you cant get...

ahh, also, just charged the battery indoors, it read 13.5 prior to putting back in the van. Started first time and its reading a voltage of 14+ v during idle tick over, so I guesss it's nothing to do with the alternator.

starter cranking voltage and other starter problems

Hello, Can anybody suggest what voltage I should be measureing accross the battery during cranking (81' 2.0 A/C)? It seems to drop to below 10V (sometimes 9V). Would this indiacte a dead battery? The starter wont turn over at anything under about 12.5 - 12.6 V - is this normal? Furthmore, I had to r...
