That was my first thought but as the ignition lights and the glow plug light goes on and off with the key, leaving the engine running I'm not so sureFirst port of call must be the ignition switch.

Re: saab 93 seat question
Thanks for your reply that helps a lot. I only have a passenger swivel seat and I don't mind cutting into the van so 93 seats will be on the cards :ok Found a couple of pics of the underside on fleebay these are 9-3 seats they have a couple of extra fixing points that will unbolt off the slider htt...

Re: saab 93 seat question
9-3 seats don't sit on 2 runners as the 900 seats do. They are bolted to a base that incorporates the runners slider adjustment mech and the hight adjustment mech (drivers) then this base is bolted to the car. After a bit of head scratching the best way I found for the drivers was..... remove the sw...

Re: 240v Strip light
Trouble is I don't have a leisure battery you see and was trying to avoid fitting one, I already have the 12v strip lights of course but I'm not sure how much I can actually use those without flattening the starter battery. You could fit a smart charger so it keeps the starter battery topped up whi...

Re: Popped my JX cherry today!
That's great, thank you very much sir.
Just a potentially silly question..... Why the smaller pulley? I'm assuming it's to keep the waterpump spinning at the correct rpm so as the van runs at the correct temp and not just to accommodate the belt?

Re: Popped my JX cherry today!
Working on T3's day in day out I can safely say the JX is a much better engine. Spare parts availability is miles better as similar engines are used in so many other vehicles. Sadly the same cant be said of the wbx. Agreed the double belt system is an abortion but easily remedied with a new smaller...

I'm finding it increa...
