thanx for the rapid response ian and cali, what ive noticed in the haynes manual, is the pushrod is shown to be straight !!! whereas my pushrod is bent or offset :shock: which is right ??? if it is offset, could i have rotated it somehow,changing the angle, thus causing that binding spot on the peda...

:ok , evenin all, set about replacing said master cylinder, bolted and connected everythin back up, depressed the pedal to find it stayed down and had to be manually pulled back up, accompanied by a loud clicking noise :( noticed that when i slackened the fixin bolts a tad, pedal returned as normal,...

mornin all :ok hope you all had a gr8 extended jubille weekend :D no down to business, ive had a wooly feeling to my steering since buying the van bout a year ago, renewed the track rod ends, roll bar bushes, new tyres with correct pressure, but i,m still getting a vague response from the steering, ...

thanx for the advice lads
due to the awkward position of brake cylinder bolt head, are we grinding down in between cylinder and brake backplate, or can i access the bolt head with a small grinder from behind the backplate ? thanx again gazulu

:( evenin all, managed to break n.side rear bleed nipple today :evil: tried an easy out, but it just stripped the inside of the nipple :twisted: plan b was to remove brake cylinder, only head of that bolt was already knackered, luckily no fluid is being lost from the nipple, as its still tight !!!! ...

hi :ok i had exactly same issue, drove me made, thought it was gonna be wishbone bushes re-newall time, had a root around, while m8 bounced on van door step, localised the squeek, then took a chance and removed the shock absorber, heavily greased the rubber bump stop on the top of shock with copper ...

cheers martin :ok had a look today and the big rubbers on roll bar ends have got loads of cracking on them, as have all the other ball joint rubbers, bottom, top, the whole lot look as if they have had their best days :( so it look as if a steady re-newall of all joints is needed :evil: thanx for th...

evenin all, :ok noticing that when i drive over a pot hole or even deep manhole cover, there seems to be a definate sideways movement of the wheels which seems independent of the steering wheel :? replaced the track rod ends, which were knackered, but that still has not cured it :( was wondering if ...

took them off, and the 10mm nut was quite loose
tightened it up and they seem better, find out next time i hit warp speed
