Re: Heater matrix clean through
Just done one with exactly the same symptoms, overheat caused by blown hose , warped head but no cracks so skimmed head and new head gasket sorted it ! Cheers Flakey - I think I might be going in this direction. I just wanted to try the cheaper options first. But probably just delaying the inevitab...

Re: Heater matrix clean through
To be honest doesn’t sound like the heat matrix is causing the issue. It sounds like an air lock and if you have badly overheated the engine then the head or head gasket are prob toast and it’s combustion gasses blowing your coolant out... Flushing the heater matrix should be simple enough from the...

Heater matrix clean through
Hi, Got an '86 T25 AAZ diesel home-brew Transporter. Had on-going issues with coolant system since a hose burst a few months back, and a pretty big overheat of engine. I realise it could be a big problem with gasket/head or worse but I am just trying to do the easier/cheaper bits first to rule them ...

And that connector at the bottom right of that page will be invaluable too.

Coolant hose 1986 T25 converted engine
Hi - struggling a bit and wondered if I could get a few opinions on this please? Coolant hose split the other week. It's shot to pieces generally like an old bike tyre inner tube. The van is T25 transporter from 1986 and it has a 1.9 TD AAZ diesel engine in it. The spec for the van says 16mm send/re...

Mechanic/garage recommendation (Dumfries -Glasgow)
Would anybody be able to recommend someone to look at/diagnose & repair on a T25 Transporter (1984)?
Ideally somewhere between Dumfries and Glasgow?
Thanks in advance.

Re: 2 man tent recommendations please......
Hi, I had a Vango (Banshee?) 200, which is cheap-ish from Go Outdoors (with a membership card even cheaper and they price match). Approx £50 second hand on ebay during winter, they might go up in summer. It's fairly light weight but good solid construction. Fits two but with not much room to spare. ...

Re: what is this part?
Sorry for delay in responding (away all week and I couldn't remember how to get on the forum on my phone - not that I had much signal in Wales..) Thank you for replies - I appreciate your answers. I am now 99.9% sure someone must have kicked it off the road under the van at some point. I feel confid...

(I'm a bit clueless) Thanks in advance EDIT- I presume it fell off, but I suppose could have been kicked underneath it from off the roa...

Re: Camping, Portland , Dorset.
I was down that area a few weeks back. Went to Portland and up the top where the prison and old MOD(?) base. There was a decent park up area and in principle you could wild camp there... However, I've got to be honest (and sound a bit soft) and say it had a bit of a weird vibe about it...and I would...

Cheers Martin
I'm going to try and make it through the week down here and get my friend at the garage to check it over once I get home.
I'm going to print out your response and give it to him as the starting point.
Many thanks
Jem

Engine not turning over
Just drove 250 miles from Midlands to Dorset today and stopped a couple of times. Second stop I noticed that I turned the key and although lights on dash came on as normal but it didn't start up...,didn't think too much about it as I just presumed I hadn't turned it fully- so turned again and it fir...
