Thanks again

Re: Spark plug nightmare
Thanks for the replies, I'm still a bit unsure what to do. I would really like to take the head of, get it helicoiled and then job done, but for that I reckon I'll have to take the engine out and then may aswell do a whole lot on the engine - and to be honest I hav'nt really got the time. Got a potential nightmare on my hands. As I was driving normally the other day, my 1989 watercooled 1.9 started chugging like a tractor and slowed up a bit. I pulled over to have a look and the spark plug under the air filter had popped out. No probs I thought, however the thread on the plug is batt...

6 to 8mm compression coupler
Hi, I really hope that someone can help me. I am trying to fit a propex heater into my camper which needs an 8mm pipe going into the back of it. The problem is that I have a 6mm pipe going to the hobs etc. I've bought an 8mm T piece and am now looking for two 6mm to 8mm compression couplers so that ...

Re: I'm scared it's the gearbox
Thanks for all of the messages and help, this forum is great!
I checked the van again and reckon it is the CV joint like you said Martin. The gears are a different problem, but I've changed the oil for the gearbox and it seems fine.
Thanks again.

I'm scared it's the gearbox
Hi, I've recently been around france in my camper and by the end of the journey, a constant and steady click developed. Since then it has got steadily worse and yesterday the gears started to become really heavy to move. The clicking stops when I put the clutch down and to be honest I am at a loss. ...
