Re: Diesel 5spd Gearbox taken out but is it broken?
I have a 4 speed box I might sell. Minus bell housing. that is a little awkward to get into 3rd changing down from 4th. but is perfectly useable once you get used to it.

Re: air cooled camper loosing power and stops, goes again ,?
I know exactly what it is. The carbs just need balanceing properly. It had me stumped the 1st time I came across this problem. If I remember correctly on the top of the left hand (as your looking at the engine from the back of the van) carb there is a balancing screw have a play with this until both...

Re: sliding door sill/runner repairs
Hi there. It is quite a tricky repair to make. My advice is to use plenty of weld through primer. Tack everything or use self tappers to hold things in place. Then try the sliding door. Keep trying everything in place until you get a good fit. Parts are available from a number of places Alan Schoffi...

Is the water level ok? Is the fan belt in good condition? And properly tentioned? Do you get hot air when you switch the blowers on?

Re: 4th gear??
Asuming the linkage has been adjusted correctly my money is on the syncromesh being craked or broken on 4th. Gearbox rebuild job i'm afraid. If you get it rebuilt get the bell housing bush done for the input shaft. Recon gearbox's don't tend to come with a bell housing.

Re: Brown stripe
Try wiping with panel wipe. Then using a sharp blade. And wiping with panel wipe as you go. This sometimes works.

Re: Weeping Head Gasket - Weeping owner :-(
Strip it down and replace the gaskets if the K seal dosn't work. There should be no need for a replacement engine if everything else is ok.
