Re: Early Sliding Door Runner
Paint it as you suggest but nothing in the runners track. As you say, the roller bearing will soon rip the new paint and go on to get in the bearing to clog it. Personally, I'd use a light oil on the runners tracks rather than grease because that eventually dries and attracts dust and grit which can...

Re: Headlining plans on the wiki
The factory cab headlining is folded over the windscreen aperture and glued on. F.ord, for example, used little u shaped barbed clips to help hold the headlining in place, along with glue to secure it. That said, modern adhesives would probably be enough to hold it in place without clips ( bearing i...

Re: The Bad News from The Body Shop
The sandblasting route is only 100% effective because unless you get inside those seams you are only treating the result, rather than the cause, of the corrosion. So, unless your bodyshop in some fashion effectively treat the mating flanges before fitting new metal, your rust issues will soon return...

Looks very nice :ok Its a big spooky as my first van was a Holdsworth Villa, 2-toned in the same fashion although I used F-ord Diamond white and F-ord Olympic blue for the lower area. I love Olympic blue as that was my favourite RS2000 colour when I worked in a F-ord dealership, light years ago so i...

Re: What Weber is this on my 2.1??
As an aside, if it were me, I'd relocate that fuel filter to underneath the van, closer to the tank outlet and use fuel pipe clips instead of jubilee clips. Not a bad idea to replace the fuel lines too while you're about it. Jus sayin...
