Ok I have a red/white, brown, and green bunched together in a black wrapper. The green is one of the double greens to the top of the water tank. The red/white connects to the blue of the water pump and the brown connects to the brown of the water pump.
Any help?

Re: help please! joker interior wiring

Re: help please! joker interior wiring
I have recently had out the entire interior if my 86 westy and looking back at the before pics I can see that in the water tank it's the double brown at the bottom most, then the white , then the yellow and finally a double green at the top. Can't help with the plug wiring I'm afraid it's a sealed p...

Re: Interior lighting - how many is enough? Your set-ups?
I got my warm white LEDs from eBay 5m roll of water resistant for about £14 IIRC. There's loads on there. I went for the lower wattage ones I forget what the number was 3020 or something. I put strips in all my cupboards wired up to some NC magnetic reed switches so they go on when you open the cupb...

Re: Earth wire rating from secondary fuse box
I'm confused as well, why do you need an earth to the fuse box? I think its my rubbish wording- I meant ground- its a secondary Ripca 12 point fusebox- I was just trying ti avoid grounding everything to chassis and keep it tidy. My knowledge/understanding is somewhat basic as you've prob gathered :...

Re: Earth wire rating from secondary fuse box
The earth wire should be of a sufficient gauge to handle the current in the same way as the positive wires are. So, if you have used a 70amp wire for the pos to the fuse box then I would expect a 70amp wire to be used for the ground. However, will you be running all the grounds back to the fuse box...

Earth wire rating from secondary fuse box
Having fitted a ripca 12 point fuse box as a secondary fuse box for my leisure battery and wired it up (Ti the leisure battery with 10mm 70amp cable) I am now need to wire the negative earth of the fuse box. I am a little stumped as to the size of wire I need for this. The stock westy leisure negati...

Re: Trying to Remove Swivel Seats from A Westy
Thanks for everyone's help- ended up looking at it again with a fresh head and realised that I could just wiggle it out of the box by holding up the metal bar that controls the seat sliding ( this was overlapping the battery by 2cms). It's was really tight but managed it in the end. Back on the road...

Re: Trying to Remove Swivel Seats from A Westy
Great! - when you say the l shaped bit of steel is on the inside of the runner do you mean on the side of the runner that is underneath the seat? Ie so you have to reach underneath the seat to fiddle with the release catch? I don't think red wine wil mix too well with van fiddling at this time of th...

Re: Trying to Remove Swivel Seats from A Westy
Cool- only problem is that there is no hook/ lever anywhere to be found on the passenger ( RHS) seat on either side. Are the seats released differently on a Westy?

Trying to Remove Swivel Seats from A Westy
Hi All, First time poster! My main battery has died on my 86 Joker Hightop and am attempting to replace it but it seems that I need to take the seat off in order to remove the existing battery! Which is fine but I cannot for the life of me work out how to slide the thing off- grrrr. They are the sta...
