Just to post a conclusion - got a different garage to look at it, they have greased it up again and the squeak has been cured! Plus it was free - all good!
Thanks for all the advice.

Re: Any ideas about squeaky clutch pedal?
Thank you. Didn't realise JK had a bad rep! I know a garage who could do the welding for me though. At least it's not the entire clutch.
Thanks again

Re: Any ideas about squeaky clutch pedal?
Wow! Thanks for showing me that. I'll test that out tomorrow. Can I ask, was it an expensive job to replace? I won't be able to do it myself. Do justkampers sell the parts for it?

Re: Any ideas about squeaky clutch pedal?
Hi, thanks for the reply. I don't notice anything different about how the pedal operates from before, it doesn't seem any harder or softer as far as I can tell.
If it is worn at the pivot do you know what I would need to have replaced?

Any ideas about squeaky clutch pedal?
Hello, hoping someone will have experienced this and even better resolved it. Have had my van for a long time, and just in the past month the clutch has begun squeaking when I press it - more so when it is released. Some times the squeak is worse than others, sometimes it goes away completely only t...

Re: Quick question re constantly sounding horn
Ah Kevtherev I will freely admit to not having a scooby how the horn is wired up - but I learn a bit at a time (and usually thanks to the RAC!)
What2d that's very interesting and I suspect something similar happening to me. Good to know a new wheel doesn't have to cost the earth.
Thanks guys

Re: Quick question re constantly sounding horn
Hello, wow thanks for so many replies! By the time I posted, he arrived not long after - took wheel off, said it was sticking when I turned, and cleaned it up. Have managed the 6 miles home without incident but I'm sure it will happen again longer term. At least now I know how to disconnect the bloo...

Quick question re constantly sounding horn
Hello,
Am waiting currently for RAC to come out to look at my van - had it a long time and this has never happened before, whenever I move the steering wheel at all the horn comes on - and stays on!
Any ideas what is wrong? Am I looking at a garage stay?
Thank you

Wardrobe door falling off
Hello, Sitting waiting for the RAC, and have plenty of time to think about the van - I've still got the original cupboard door in the boot area, but the plastic edging that fits into the groove all round the door has worked loose and won't stay in place if I put it back in. As this holds the hinge u...

Re: Oil light question - can anyone advise?
Thank you both. I'm making a list - leaving it alone till the weekend then will go through the suggestions.
I am rubbish mechanically but I have kept it on the road for over ten years now, mostly by handing garages lots of money!

Re: Oil light question - can anyone advise?
Thanks guys. Feel I need to go out with my phone and see if it affects it - phone more reliable than the van at the moment! Am duly chastised re oil. Would never occur to me to check it on a daily basis though, it's more a before-long-journeys-when-you-do-the-tyres type thing. Went through MOT less ...

Oil light question - can anyone advise?
Hello, This is either such an obvious question that you'll be laughing at me from behind your screens, or it's something so dire that you'll send commiserations my way... The oil light came on yesterday, and it was indeed low when I checked so filled it up. Now the light comes on (and stays on) but ...

Re: New (small!) camping stove - where can I buy one?
Hello, I'm bumping this as I am still stove-less :( The one Dan suggested still looks good, but my attempts to contact the sellers have proved futile (why do they not want to sell it to me?) and my gas servicer thinks one with the gas connection on the side (rather than the back) will add extra inch...

Re: New (small!) camping stove - where can I buy one?
Hey thanks for that.
I notice the measurements are "approx", but I could message the seller first just to make sure!
I thought I was doomed to have cold food
