Re: The GASWAGON (act III)
That would be great, cheers Lloyd. I'm constantly amazed by the lengths that the yanks go to with everything. I wonder what they would make of some of the lash ups we get lumbered with over here  Just wish I had a way of working on my van inside. I've trawled the classifieds and drawn a blank. ...

Re: The GASWAGON (act III)
Lloyd, I've read lots about the pressure differences etc, is there any real evidence to support it?
I want to change mine which will be like jaegers I guess, but if there's a proven better option then maybe I'll change the plan.

Re: Introduction
Sorry to put a downer on your find. Some More info if it helps. This was a very popular conversion in the early 90's. My van had 3 of these engines. The original was done in 1993 and the van has done nearly 300k km on them. Trouble is they are only good for 60-70k before things get tired. The major ...

Re: Removing overspay from newish paint
I'm no expert, but I'd advise steering clear of cutting compound.
Had loads on mine after a small repair. Was advised on the detailers forum(yes I know!!)
To use a clay bar. Got a meguiers ?? Kit from halfords.
It's shifted the lot and left me with an amazing finish. Amazing stuff.
Look it up.

Re: Introduction
Hi there, I can't help with the syncro info unfortunately, but I can offer some advice regarding the 2.8 v6 you have. I had one in my van. Honestly I would be very very cautious. They run very hot. Mine overheated several times. I now have a tdi! Yes it had plenty of power, but these engines can be ...

Re: Syncro Stormtrooper build thread - something different!
Just read that. Love it. I can see some Dehler t3 and t4 similarities in some of the pics. Have never seen any of those concepts before. Will be following this one

Re: The GASWAGON (act III)
Yes it works fine, but looks gash I think. Also the pipes rub on the chassis.
Would like to make it look a bit more pro. That set up should work nicely with some tweaks.

Funnily enough Lloyd, I am going to change it to the same as above. Saw that thread before and thought it looked fantastic. Like the idea of a fan too

Mike, my engine was put in upright. Does leave more space in the engine bay.

Re: Any dehler owners with wind out awning?
Thanks Mike. The inner skin finishes above the bottom bolt and the top bolt fits the outer through a recess in the inner skin if that makes sense. There is an air gap albeit small between the 2 skins in this area.
Would be easy if I could find someone with the same set up!

Re: Any dehler owners with wind out awning?
Great. I've had a look, problem with Dehlers isn't the fibreglass top, it's the fibreglass panels that fit over the top half of the van.
