Re: Fridge replacement
I have a dometic waeco 12v compressor fridge in my westy now, It is an excellent fit in the original fridge space but it is deeper because it doesn't need all the gas gubbins at the back. plus it doesn't need any vents to the outside and I am running it 24/7 on my leisure battery powered by a 100w s...

Re: Rear alignment adjustment.
I would think that if you need to do that then something is not right somewhere else.

Re: Sliding door won’t lock
Ahh. Ive only had one early t3 and the sliding door closed beautifully every time so I never needed to check.
It was the only one I've not had to fix or adjust. Just worked.

Re: 83 T3 westy fresh water tank level sensor
The top pic is the 1983 interior I fitted into a van and the bottom pic is the completely original 1985 one which as far as I can tell has never been apart. They both work well and show me the water level. The looms are slightly different because the one I fitted was missing some of it. So in the b...

Re: Sliding door won’t lock
That can often happen if the wheels fall of the rear roller for the door. They still slide ( but make a horrible noise) but the rear of the door drops so the catch is out of line with the bit it catches.
How are your wheels?

Re: T25 Westfalia interior sink tap
I would try a separate new connection from the battery (good 12v source maybe lighter socket?) to the pump and see if it works. If thats good then you will need to work out if it is the positive or negative or both causing the problem so try replacing one then the other. My best guess would be where...

Re: 83 T3 westy fresh water tank level sensor
I think if you put a newer sliding level sender in it would be tricky to get it working with the westy leds. But there are smarter brains than mine on here so maybe someone will prove me wrong. If you dont have the little black box with the coloured wires coming out then that might be your best solu...

Re: 83 T3 westy fresh water tank level sensor
I have two of those, both working. One has never been removed so I used it for reference last time I reinstalled the other one. I should have photos somewhere but cant find them. I will take a photo this evening. I have the Westy wiring diagram but it doesn't show the colours. I presume you have the...

Re: What’s missing here?
I actually remembered to look for it on Friday and I cant find it anywhere unfortunately. Several times I toyed with the idea of scrapping it because who would ever need such a thing but I think lack of space eventually got the better of me. Really sorry about that, it would have been ace to see it ...

Re: Starting problem
Yes wow. It is good to have mates like that. A helicopter engineer mate helped me when I installed the TDI and stripped out everything I didn't need from the golf loom. I had a pile that looked very similar. It took him about 5 minutes of reading the wiring diagram and the pinouts and merrily stripp...

Re: Sliding door won’t lock
I have just had a thought that you might mean the catch isn't catching when you close the door so the door wont stay closed? If that is the case then you need to check that the catch does actually catch and release . I would do this with a large screw driver or something with the door open and see i...

I have thought about making these but thankfully this company is already doing it so I can tell you that is a bargain price.

Re: Sliding door won’t lock
The lock just stops the handle from operating the latch. There isn't an extra lock as such. Its the same principle as the front doors. The doors latch when closed and you pull the trigger to release the latch. If the trigger doesn't engage, you cant release the latch.
