Re: Electrical Drain! do i start to pull fuses?

The question then is how is your leisure battery? Does it get much use? is it mysteriously better now all of a sudden? Does it even work?

Re: Westfalia high top with fiamma F45

Mine is a really old Omnistore 2000 but the brackets are the same design and the gutters are not full to the brim with sealant ( although as you can see they need some attention) But although I am not a fan of the design of the brackets, they do work fine and have no trouble holding the awning firml...

Re: Won't start when left for a week

If it starts on easy start and then continues to run, I would be thinking a fuel issue like either old fuel, fuel somehow leaking all the way back to the tank or maybe faulty starting procedure leading to flooding?

Re: Westfalia high top with fiamma F45

I have that style on a westy high top. They are good and strong. Just need regular cleaning as they block the gutter to a degree.

Re: Re-mapping AHU TDI

The good news was in another post. I finally worked out that my wastegate valve was stuck so the truck was over-boosting and going into limp mode within a short distance of starting. I didnt realise that it was almost permanently in limp mode and thought it just wasnt designed to push a 4x4 syncro a...

Re: Idle valve controller for DJ - repairs

I'm still keeping my eye out. I'm certain I wouldn't have binned it and both my 2.1s were running fine when removed.
I found lots of bits of harness in a box the other day so I'm getting warmer I think.

Re: Best fridge

That does look like a good deal indeed. You could probably buy two for the price of the dometic. (i did get an excellent deal on mine but it was still £400) The interior looks identical so has either come from the same Chinese factory or is a rip off but is well thought out and works well. I particu...

Re: Best fridge

I have the Dometic CRX 50. It is a good fit in the Westy cupboard and a really great improvement on the already good but inefficient original. I have not quite worked out how to finish the surroundings and I am not planning to disguise it like the original or what to do with the gap underneath ( am ...

Re: Not starting, glow plug issue?

A really handy diagnostic aid I have found useful many times is a coil of wire with crocodile clips which is long enough to reach from the engine bay to the dashboard. In your case, you can then connect it to the output side of the relay you are checking in the engine bay and connect the other end t...

Re: leisure Battery

The TN Power one is L262 x W165 x H170mm and if it had lead posts on it it would be too tall. It isn't for cranking so doesn't need cranking battery posts and cables. Just has m6 bolts in recesses on the top. To be fair, I have a cut and carpeted piece of aluminium as my battery cover on that side w...

Re: Engine cutting out and instrument lights go out

Photos would really help Simon. I relation to your original question, could you confirm that your battery cables are done up tight? I know quite a few people who think it is ok to just wedge them on so they dont have to look for a spanner, they can occasionally pop of whilst driving which will cut t...

The TN power one I have is the only AGM deep cycle battery I could find to fit under the seat in the proper place. It is a proper leisure battery . 75 Ah.

Re: Not starting, glow plug issue?

There should be a glow plug relay somewhere. Mine is in the engine bay in a black plastic box on the left hand side wall. I would start there. At the start of your post I was suspecting air in the fuel line but since you tried the glow plug tests then I would first check you are getting ignition pow...
