many people say to take the whole top off to get it done proper, but i left mine on & did it took two days, you really have to measure and remeasure , mine was a little tight but no rips took a couple week ends of leaving the top up to stretch her a bit, lots of work take yer time its a PITA but...

i think it looks great , your ingenuity is to be applauded, definately not your clone interior bit different and something to be proud off, came out great

If I were you I would speak with Aidan and have him rebuild your box to your requirements... :wink: that way you'll know it will hold up... That 5 speed has only a marginally higher top gear.. and doesnt offer any real advantages.. the 4 speed is in fact a stronger box.. :ok :ok :ok like toomanytoy...

when i had my 2.1 i had a similar issue seems as though the rain was gettin into the rear air ducts dripping down into the cavity behind the pass tail light where the idle control unit is located ...corroding the connections and apparently eventually bad ICU... something to check

its a OBD II engine out of an 07 Impreza , the wiring harness and OBD set up came from Hans@ Vanaru, along with the set up for the speed sensor & fly by wire gas pedal...in the US the 2.2s are getting hard to find with low miles, thats originally what i was looking for..the 2.5's packs a lil mor...
