Re: What part is this?
so does nobody actually know whats legal light wise? I've almost finished van revamp and the orange casing on the front indicator lenses totally ruins the van. I'd like clear or smoked casing with orange bulbs if necessary but I'm more confused than ever which is legal Please can anyone advise or te...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Hello, The light blue is veyr nice :-) I'm going to start my next coat this weekend but first would like a bit of advice on tidying up the window rubbers. In places I got a small amount of paint leaking through the masking onto them and i'm looking for the best method to remove without bodging the w...

Re: Seat covers for captains chairs
Hello, Team28Crew, how did you do this with the covers? I'm pretty rubbish with sewing machine but could maybe persuade a friend if i'm lucky. Have you just sliced up the rear seat covers to make the arms rest covers? and did the actual seat covers fit this well or is there a lot of modification nee...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Hello again, So i took all the comments on board regarding bubbles and made myself a 20% thinners:80% paint mix and painted a panel. Although i spent ages squeezing the roller (too much maybe as i was worried i'd actually wrecked the shape of it) I still had tons of bubbles to rework, however the fi...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Hello, I know there is loads of info on here about thinner/paint ratios but i still dont think i'm getting it right. To begin with i started at the higher end of the scale with about 15% thinners and have since gradually dropped to around 5%! My experience has been the more thinners added the more b...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Llamapup, you have made me feel much better having seen your images. My van is currently at the "ugly" stage and it's hard to see an end to the prep! I also think i was too liberal with the vactan - some drips and runs in places it's not needed. I didn't realise it would dry to have a text...

Loud squeal when full lock on
Hello,
I have developed a loud squeal that comes from the van when I have the steering turned full lock in either direction. Only noticable when parking etc. Can anyone advise what this is most likely to be or how to test where the squeal might be coming from?
thanks in advance,
Cat

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Hello, I have some questions regarding Vactan treatment. I need to treat some very minor seam rash on the seam above the near side rear wheel. 1) I understand I have to remove all the rust out of the seam first before applying the vactan, but then does the vactan fill the seam again so it looks like...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Hello, I've been looking into buying the combicolor paint for my van. I've tried both companies suggested here (Lawsons and Paintshop.ie), and the prices are very interesting. Im based in Belfast so postage is always going to be a bit more for me but I was shocked at the price difference between the...
