we've just done the petit (i think) bernard route a few months ago. Hey peeps, just had the throttle cable snap on me and i cant find a replacement anywhere. I'm not sure if it would be the origional cable or if it would be a random cable thats been used as is has a golf engine in there. would the change in engine need a change in cable?! And where the hell do u get...

p.s i was doing about 60 which although wasn't quite as fast as the van would go WAS as fast as i wanted to take it, being our first outing an all.
There is no rev counter so i don't know if it was actually revving TOO high or if i'm just not used to it.

Yo! Man looks like i've opened a can of worms! The van is a 1988 high top. Hi, just wondered what the general thoughts were on putting a 1.9 NA diesel golf engine into a t25? (Apart from the obvious speed issue of course)
Are they meant to be fairly reliable engines? are they pretty compatible? I dont have much idea about stuff like this as is probably obvious!
