Thanks for this. Cruz I see that you are looking to replace yours as well. Have you decided the route you're taking yet? What have you concluded?

Re: exhaust replacement?
Thanks. I guess for those that do some research on forums like this, the choice of mild steel vs stainless steel and cost difference becomes apparent. I expect however that lots of T25 owners will just throw the keys to their local garage and ask them to "sort it". I'm in the "do some...

exhaust replacement?
Early 84 1.9dg Realise that there are lots of posts on exhausts. However I first just wanted to check the symptoms? Think we have a hole near the nearside rear engine port. Horrendously noisy when cold and only just slightly less when warm. Noise becomes louder under load and virtually non existent ...

Should this be the case?
Have just installed a leisure battery and split charge circuit to someone elses van with a basic just kampers relay ie the one that uses the signal wire from the alternator . Everything seems to work fine, ie when the vehicle is running both batteries showing 13.6 volts, when the engine off, drivers...

Re: Camping in France- will the van make it?!
Have a great time. You are doing the right thing, travelling down then staying in one area. I sometimes read the VW mags where people boast 23 countries in 3 days or whatever, and I think "well done, that must have been really enjoyable....." We did the Loire Valley last year 7 hours from ...

Re: 1998 SA 2.6 on ebay with 19k miles!!!
So with an SA engine (and gearbox?) and specific panels and windows - what are spares like to get hold of? Is there an SA equivalent of Brickwerks??
Would love to import one day that's all

Re: 1998 SA 2.6 on ebay with 19k miles!!!
Perhaps Silverbullet is the best person to answer this: The SA 2.6 is a fantastic bus because of that fabulous engine. We hired a brand new one for 10 days in Jo'Burg back in 2001. It was before I was in to T25's but I remember how great it sounded and how well it went with 8 of us on board! One que...

Re: Vibration - what are the causes?
Sorry by over revving I mean that the engine has been over revved before and is now damaged slightly and somehow unbalanced? When I was a lot younger and used to drive my mum and dad's Ford Escort, I used to thrash it within an inch of its life regularly going over 6,000 rpm I suspect, (afterall it ...

Vibration - what are the causes?
Driving around 40 - 45mph in 4th gear the van vibrates slightly, (enough for the rear view mirror vision to become blured). What causes this? I always put it down to the engine being over-revved and coming out of balance at some point in its life. Someone else said it could be worn engine mounts? An...

France - your experience of it
Long post, but hopefully of some use to folks wanting to do France for the first time. Perhaps other people could add their experiences? Thought I’d jot down our very recent experiences of taking our 1984 Devon 1.9 WBX to France for a 10 day trip. Instead of doing lots of driving touring around Euro...

Re: Rusty sliding door track - options
Quite rusty I think. I did put the vacuum cleaner in there and it certainly pulled out lots of flakes.
Cheapest option certainly would be a brush and grease. Shall give it a go.
Anyone else had this problem?

Rusty sliding door track - options
Hi, the sliding door on our 1984 Devon, currently rumbles along a track of rust. The door still works at the moment, but sounds awful (compared to a friends van who as a non rusty one). We also have to slam the door to shut it. I guess I am just concerned that one day the door will come to grinding ...

Re: Leisure battery advice
Wow that's a beast! Are you powering your van via electric motor??
50kg - that's like a whole person that is.
Not sure what the issues are for charging it? ie will you ever be able to fully charge it via engine alternator if it is run down? Then again, will you ever run it down?!
