Re: Olympics by van!

I'm renting my van to a friend of a friend who is a working at the Olympics. They won't be driving it just using it to sleep in on our drive. Perfect arrangement as if we want to go away during the time they can then use the house. Money raised will be going to JDRF a charity close to our hearts.

Re: Awning Recommendations

This is our Quechua pop up attached to the door, although usually we have it further back to be a little more sociable. This is the smaller size and only opens on 2 sides, with the benefit of hindsight wish I'd gone for the bigger model. Having said that there should be a camping proverb 'the bigger...

Fuel pump electric or Manuel?

First of all apologies if I'm in the wrong section. After filling up at weekend van lost all power and then wouldn't start. Breakdown were convinced that I'd put wrong fuel in, however having now got it to my local garage turns out I didn't and the pump has failed. This is an electrical pump that a ...

Having no heating of any shape or form use these as de-misters. Do the job, but don't exactly keep you toastie.

Thermal blinds

Posting here as can't see a section for daft questions.

On the JK thermal blinds, what are the small elastic loops for? Have asked a few people but no one seems to know.

Re: Quechua pop up tent awning

I have the one with 2 doors, base second I think. I prefrer to pitch it away from the sliding door. However, if I'm feeling less sociable the flap bit lines up pretty well with the door. Not perfect in torrential rain, but good enough most of the time.

Re: Aircooled Auto

My Devon is air-cooled and automatic.

Are they rare then? How exciting a collectors item

How it drives not really my specialized subject,, but it goes fine and judging by the number of people who walk straight in front of it in car parks the engine is almost silent.

Re: T25 Automatic Stalling and Losing Power

Hi I'm no expert, and hopefully someone with more expertise will be along but have you checked the transmission oil, think there's something in the Wiki about how to do it. Afraid all I know is dip stick and fill bit is left hand side of engine and engine needs to be warm to test/fill. I had very si...

Devon Moonraker hinges

Sorry I don't get to post more often and when I finally do its with a problem. The front and middle hinges on my roof have come away from the main body (kids forcing roof down with stuff up there). Having trouble finding replacement hinges, have tried The Camping Shop but their hinges have 4 holes o...

Re: gas powered fridge ?

Please can I tag another fridge question onto this. My 2 way fridge in my devon moonraker runs fine on gas. On the first overnighter one of the kids switched the fridge onto 12v, when I realised went into panic that the battey would be dead. Started no problem and I just assumed 12v not working. Now...

I got one of these, for exactly the same reason, well 2 actually cos I found out Decathlon were selling them for half the price they go for on ebay  http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/seconds-base-35307101/ At the moment Decathlon are doing the larger one at half price (£64.95). Re: What colours to use and with or without graphics?

Will watch this with interest.

Dropped mine off today for a bit of a re-vamp. Although the brown has kind of grown on me, going to have something a bit cheerier.

Leaning towards bamboo yellow over ivory, but could well change my mind :D .
