Its a diesel.
Anyone had a go at taking the head off a non turbo diesel.
I would like to have a go myself as it could be a gasket failure or at worst a cracked head.
Is is something best left to a garage I am in fear of a massive bill!
A gasket is 50 and a head is 500 recon.
Ideas?

Think you were right em. Cut down and the poor quality non vw clamp cut through it. I have replaced 2 pipes and all the clips with vw genuine parts. Blew £200 but cheaper then engine. Bled the air out the rad today and i will check and top up in the morning. Fingers crossed all done. Thermostat repl...

Also the sniff test was all good. Head gasket all good. Thank god. Well the vw god anyway.

My mainwater hose in the engine bay the £109 one was cut down at the engine end for some reason unknown then held in place with poor quality hose clips which cut it let water out and air in Which caused my bubbles. So I ordered a hose and a shorter one below it all the hose clamps and a thermostat a...

No doom and gloom yet as mane water pipe off head had a jet stream of water flying across engine bay, must have been leaking a little under pressure and finally showed itself to me yesterday:-) so should be ordering a pipe from somewhere today.

I have also heard to fill the rad from the top. I have air getting in bloody somewhere.

And em if you have 3 t25s thats just greedy!

Engine is a 1700 diesel.

not taken my van on a long run yet as previous owner said it was popping a hose. He thought it was sorted. But once i turn the engine off i can hear bubbles coming from the rad area. Anyone got any ideas?

maybe I will just find another 1.9 n/a as to be honest I am happy with 55 mph but a 5 speed gearbox would probably be better.!

I will have to find a engine code of what is already in my van as I have a 1.9 but on the correct angle and correct sump. I did not think vw did a n/a 1.9 diesel for the t25(might show my limited knowledge) or has mine been changed? ( I thought it had) . My last t25 has the td 1.6 jx engine the same...

I am considering a AAZ engine in my 1.9 very tired diesel T25 Reimo.
But what else will I need to make it run apart from the engine itself pump and turbo?
