Does anyone have a list of the type of merc 17" or 18" wheels that will fit straight on without spacers and without the need for the stuf holes redrilling?

I'm pretty sure all alloys need spacers and/or longer studs/bolts unless they are T3 carat alloys

My 16" merc rucha wheels didn't need the holes drilling. Just longer rear studs, front stud conversion studs and 15mm spacer on the front and 20mm on the rear

Not sure I'd like to go as large as 18" though, epsecially if you are going to lower it by 50mm or more as I like my tongue

Also be wary of wide wheels on lowered buses tw*tting the wheel arches over bumps

Cruz is spot on... zero
Benz 16's are a better bet... for everything.
my ML 16's needed no drilling and just a 10mm spacer.
With 17's and worse with 18's your tyre choice is getting limited for the load rating

Well I may have a set of 17's lined up! So we'll see how things pan out. The guy has offered to lend me a wheel to see if they fit ok. How's that for being nice?

Ok wheels are 7j x 17 et35 m14 bolt size. They are ok aren't they?

Also the tyres are 215/45/17 now according to the 'yards calculator that will reduce my rolling radius to -29mm. What effect is this going to have on my gearing as at the moment i have a +65mm from stock rolling radius and it's struggling to hit 60?

I'd be more concerned about the tyre load rating first. 97 or above

M14 is the right thread size, merc rims are radius seat usually (check that) the offset is good and within the 30-39 range but it may still foul the suspension given the width.
