I know we probably wouldn't normally use this (it's 10w40 semi-synthetic), but it's cheap. What do we think?

We think you ought to forget it and put 15w/40 mineral oil in our wbxs

...and one as high as possible in ZDDP for yur flat tappets

been struggling to find mineral oil local garages and factors only seem to have semi synthetic

try halfords classic
or GSF

. . . or try Wilkinson's if there's one near you:
Wilko 15w-40 mineral oil

and change the oil and filter regularly.

Good price...might buy some for my 2002 Beetle. although I can buy Quantum Silver from VW TPS a few quid cheaper.

Wilkinsons also good for the right gearbox oil.
