Rounded sump plug

Evening all,
I've a 1985 1.9 wbx with a DH engine which failed it's MoT a week or so ago. In an attempt to bring it's HC emissions down I've serviced it and run Wynns engine cleaner they the oil. I ran the engine at a fast idle for a quarter of n hour as instructed and then set about emptying the oil via the sump drain, only to find that the plug is rounded off. Size wise I think that it's a 13mm fitting, and as it's European I'd expect it to be metric, but it actually appears to be closer to 1/2".
I'm going to take it back to the garage Monday for a bit of additional work, but I'm worried that the Wynns will do damage overthe weekend. Is it anything to worry about?
