Which side repair panel?

I am about to do the (fridge) side panel repair on my LHD van.
I am just looking at some posts about the repair, seems like the most suitable repair panel will be the lower repair panel that includes the outer sill, then rebuild the floor as necessary.
I am just looking at places to buy the repair panel, I would normally use schofields, but they only seem to stock the offside, I also seem to remember someone needing to chop a section out of it to get it to fit;
the only other I can find is vw heritage
http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_act_shop.p ... try_GB.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has anyone used this one? also its a bit expensive, are there any other alternatives?
Thanks in advance

I used a JK one recently and i had to shorten ot to fit. It also didnt have a flange on it so had to make that up as well. Not sure but i think JK and schofields panels are the same. And the panel is the same for both sides. My mates was a LHD and he ordered the offside for a RHD but its exactly the same. Have a good poke around your inner sill aswell, may as well see if there are any problems while its off.

Doesn't matter if its left or right same applies. Hadrians do them. You can tack a rebuilt floor to it, or as I did, left it open inside to allow any moisture to run out in future and provide another way for vehicle to breathe.

Hi
I would go to the wiki and look at Covkids artical on changing this panel, thats what i did and it was a real help, mine is now sorted, i used a JK panel and had to cut about 1" off and make some flanges up, to fit to the inside of the B posts.
JK's panel is cheaper than schofields, but i found it to be good quality, pity their front arch repair panels are not made the same.

Fairly sure Hadrians and JK's is the same panel so may be worth comparing prices too. Think mine was £38 but may have risen since. Few ways of tackling that panel but chunk I wrote for WIKI is probably the easiest plus you can see the construction behind it - go grab the angle grinder!
As I mentioned, I didn't reattach the floor - just treated and painted it along with inner sill although you could tack it to outer sill if you wanted to or even use self-adhesive flashing. The more expensive panels tend to have the floor seam whereas the cheaper ones (thats what I used) don't. Personally I think it looks better on that side without that seam plus you'll have removed a known rot point.

Thanks guys, I have memorised the wiki article now and convinced myself it will be easy compared to the rear arch

jks panel is only 33 quid delivered so thats looking promising, looking at the heritage one (£50) it looks like it has the extra fake seam line, which I suppose looks original, but as covkid said I think it looks better without the seam.
I need a few other bits too so think I will decide which to get based on the combined price.
All I need now is to get the kitchen unit out and a bit of good weather over the next couple of weeks

The one i had from JK came with the seam pressed in. Looks better in my opinion

. The sticker on the one i had also said it was dedicated to JK if i remember right.

Pics of the panel i used.
If you havent taken the unit out yet expect the floor to be rotten as well.
Easy enough to sort.
