hi and happy new year to all.
Bought this van on new years eve in the dark, yes i know not the best idea, but in the cold light of day not bad at all.
Bought this as a 1.9 N/a diesel after rubbing down the block under no3 injector the code is cs surely its a 1.6 diesel.
Dont know if you can see these images.
Any help on this matter would be very helpful
Cheers Spike

Can be done in situ, replace the tensioner too. Have you done a cambelt before?? These are quite easy.

Look on the side of the crankcase under the manifolds - if it is a CS it will be 1.6 moulded in the casting. Certainly looks like a CS.The engine no. can be re-stamped but not so easy to change the crankcase moulding. (if anyone should really wish to for some strange reason)

Unscrew old one
fill new one at least half full with diesel,
smear a bit on the rubber seal
screw back on
Undo the screw on top of the filter housing a little bit (its an air bleed screw)
turn over engine a few times - if it starts let it run
tighten screw
repeat if engine runs a bit lumpy or air in the clear bit of fuel pipe that runs to the fuel pump on engine)
