Just wanted to say hello to all you T25 owners. I've just become the proud owner of a 1983 T25 1.6 turbo diesel.
This is my first ever camper and am looking forward to spending many hours bringing her back to her former glory.
Obviously with a van of this age it needs some work doing, a few new panels, the inside updating and rock and roll bed fitting. The engine runs ok however it does smoke quite a bit (white smoke especial just after starting her which does seem to dissipated at higher speeds then returns when in first/second). The gearbox is a bit sloppy but seems ok. She cruised on the motorway nicely at 75 from Bristol to Staffordshire with no problems. Does anybody know of a good/reliable/trustworthy campervan mechanic in Staffordshire/West Midlands. I'd like to get her mechanically sound before sorting out the bodywork.
How easy are rock and roll beds to fit? Should I go with a JK one or a bluebird? And what about seatbelts for it? So many questions I have but will leave it there.
Cheers for any advice.
