I'm thinking it would be neat to have a LED strip light come on when the sliding door is opened – has anyone else done this? I guess there must be some sort of switch that could be fitted that activates when the door opens, can anyone point me in the direction of such a thing??

Mine already has one as standard fitment on a 1990 Bus based camper and it operates a rear interior light( or did..not working at moment)

there is also the rubber block on the door aint there?..... (could be early sliding doors only though!)

yea its a kind of L shaped thing that pushes the switch in pocolow's pic

Just had a look and the L shaped block is there, and there's the hole cut out in the pillar for the switch, so just need to get the JK switch and wire it up
