Been having a look at father-in-laws 1990, 1900 diesel, in particular the sill/sliding door area which is quite badly corroded. Looking in the JustKampers parts book I've found the following parts but Im not 100% sure as to what I actually need.
The parts are;

Inner sill
http://www.justkampers.com/shop/type_25 ... 11407.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Outer sill
http://www.justkampers.com/shop/type_25 ... 14617.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

U channel repair piece
http://www.justkampers.com/shop/type_25 ... 13499.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Sliding door guide;
http://www.justkampers.com/shop/type_25 ... 13498.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Is this everything thats required to replace the damage shown in the pics below? Is there anything I've missed?

Thanks in advance. :ok

Is it all on one side?
If so totalling up around £200.
Take a look at classic parts.de
The problem with pattern parts is that they never fit properly and usually need some fetlling to fit properly.
for an extra £60 you could get original VW panels which would fit much better.
For example the slide door guide,outer sill and u chanel would be one complete panel(£169.00).
The rot is almost identical to mine, except on mine the jacking point has now collapsed. :cry:
Rob.

Mine was like that http://cruzphotos.phanfare.com/3615447_3944567" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and I used the inner and outer sill to get it fixed. The rot on the flat section inside the sliding door runner apperture was patched up. (see pic when finished)

I got the inner sill from VW as it was cheaper than both schofields and JK but this was in autumn 2008 so it may not be available now. I had to get the inner sill for the drivers side too but I could only get that from germany however it only cost a few quid more to get it delivered from there than the passenger side sill cost from VW. Once again that was based on late 2008 exchange rates.

See this post for ordering from germany https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... y#p7382952" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and this on inner sills (including part numbers) https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Ar ... nner_Sills" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Personally I would check both sills and if you can afford it and store it get them now while they are still around (still both available from Germany)

Thanks Cruz, I've read the Wiki but hadn't realised about the part numbers.

Its a balancing act between me wanting to completely gut and fully rebuild the van (fully cutting out rot and letting new panels in) and the fact my parent-in-laws dont want to spend too much money on it (quick bit of body filler and a quick blow over of paint)-its a summer toy for them until they retire and will then probably buy a newish possibly non VW full size camper.
