Not tried it fully on a weekend yet but had it running my coolbox for a few hours with no problems and its nice and quiet to just dont know about this earthing thing might just let the missus plug and unplug stuff just incase

the earthing question! sticking copper rod in the ground won't do any harm! although it won't product an ideal earth. i have one of these small gennys but i tend not to bother earthing it instead i use double insulated equipment which doesn't need an earth.
