Why is it that jobs on a Syncro take miles longer than a 2wd

This comes after me doing the starter motor after work. What a prick with that fuel tank in the way, then the difflock actuator had to come off that ment the driveshaft off and so on

. Anyone actually had anything easier to do on a Syncro than a 2wd van jobs done?

Opening the main front wheel hub nut ? : (that's pretty easy :mrgreen)

yeah its an a*** isnt it...
I wonder how "easy" a TD starter is to do as it mounted at "12 o clock"...... and there is a hump in the tank to accomodate it...

The job of changing the starter on waterboxer is one of the many reasons to put a Subaru in there.
PS. TD starter is much easier than WBX.

Or just have a TDI.

Dont even have to go under the van to change the starter.

Yeah I got one!!
Its easier to crawl under to look at the problem on a syncro than a 2WD.

front handbrake cable replacement is easier on a syncro

Front to rear brake pipes and coolant pipes are easier on a Syncro..
erm....
