Oil buzzer, not again!

Ok, I have just got another Syncro. Someone had buggered about with the printed circuit board on the back of the dash. I did a solder repair & the oil buzzer came on while driving. Someone had fitted an oil warning lamp into the dash & bridged some terminals on the back of the speedo where the plug goes in, so I guess they had this trouble before. I think it had been like that for some time.
I have fitted a new dash, but with the old speedo (& board with the diodes etc) The oil light works now, but over 2500rpm the light flashes & buzzer sounds.
I only have 1 oil pressure switch on my 1900 petrol 1985 van. There is no high pressure switch at the front of the engine, just the low pressure on the left hand side under the push rods. The engine runs fine.
The temp gauge doesn't work either & this is probably the switch. The manual says to check that too. I am not sure if it is related to the buzzer & oil light. I can't see why it would.
I am wondering if it has had the wrong dash fitted before & I have fitted another the same.
Any thoughts?
