hi

bit new to this, and i'm still looking for a van, i think i may have found one, though i'm a little concerned that the current owner claims to have 240v hook up, but not sure on any split charging system.

do T25's come with one as standard?

all the other ones i've seen seem to be mounted in the same place but this one doesn't???

any advice would be appreciated, i.e are they possible to retrofit if there isn't one??

If everything else is right with the van for you, don't be put off it by this. It is possible to replace badly done wiring, there's a lot of info on here and elsewhere on t'internet about how to do it. It depends on the conversion as to what was "standard" on a van, but if the current owner isn't sure what's going on with it, you can spend a weekend removing any strange electrics and redoing them properly; you'll find a lot of instances where someone has, in the past,"adapted" something. The simplest way then is always to remove it and do it properly, it's less hassle and you have the confidence knowing it's right

VW didn't fit them. Has the van been converted and was it done by a recognised company like Autohomes, Autosleeper, Westfalia, Leisuredrive, Devon etc?

The leisure battery that powers the camper electrics as opposed to the vehicle electrics is usually found under the passenger seat. The actual van arrangements will depend on the particular conversion.

have been to a couple of shows so far, always been into vw's (currently have a rocco )

it was the lastest show at Newark that turned me towards the T25 as i'd only really considered bays

have my eye on another on ebay, so see what next weekend brings
