Hi all ,
we have recently bought an 89 1.6 td calafornia ,the engine is nearly new covered only 8k ,when i turn the key and then wait for the light to go out it never does but i leave it a good 10 secs and then start it anyway.The engine runs great so no probs there ,does anyone have any ideas what it could be

I'm certainly no expert and some one will come along who knows more - but I have a 1.6TD and have to leave it up to 20 - 30 secs for the light to go out. have you tried waiting a little longer?
