JK Bumpers

Hi,
I need to get a new rear bumper and was wondering if anyone had one of these? Looking at nearly £50 for the whole thing with end caps so I want to make sure it's ok. Would happily pay a bit more if this is sub-standard though. Just wondered if anyone had got one from somewhere that they are particularly impressed with, or am I better of replacing it with an old one via wanted?
Thanks.

The only ones that fit and work properly are genuine ones, and they are obsolete so it's picking the best of a bad bunch.
ALL the aftermarket ones are a pi$$ poor fit, thin material and thinly painted.
Best bet is good second hand or be prepared for a bit of dicking about and painting if you want to buy a cheap one.

Thanks Simon, it's off to wanted for me then, rather wait and do it right.

I did a search and vw in Germany stock rear bumper 251-807-311M (not sure what colour M stands for)

It will be delivered for slightly more than it would have cost from the UK had they still got any in stock

http://www.vw-classic.net/bestand/bestand.pl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just follow the instructions by Phade in the wiki https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Pa ... ain_Dealer" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

click the link I posted above and search for the rear bumper 251807311 then follow what phade writes

I got an inner sill that was stated as obsolete in the UK for about £3 more delivered from germany than the list price on etos

If M turns out to stand for something like chrome then custom and commercials rear bumpers weren't bad qaulity when I got one last year

Over the years i've spent hundreds of pounds with JK and never had a problem with panels,seals or suspension parts. BUT,bumper end caps are pants
