Howdy folks, just wondered if anyone has tried these, thay are available on ebay, and are supposed to do away with the need for a feed from the alternator.

You don't need to wire directly to the alternator with a conventional one - just link the batteries the same as the ebay one

Here you go Ringo http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/30A-SPLIT-CHARGE- ... 286.c0.m14

Incidentally, they supply the positive (red) cable but you have to have an equally robust cable from the negative of the battery to the bodywork.

Got mine off ebay, very similar but mine was from a different seller and came with a big proper relay rather than that circuit board looking thing from this seller. Works fine, biggest problem was finding somewhere to wire into the battery light circuit, ended up taking a wire from the alternator signal wire to the relay, works fine though.

I bought one, i've not fitted it though as i didn't trust the look of it. I'll be interested to hear other views before deciding what to do, i also got a proper split relay kit, whats best? The instructions are in english but might as well be in arabic, it's a bit like the white noise i hear whenever my missus speaks to me!

me and electrics dont get on. Need help!
