1989 1.7 diesel.
285000 on clock
but new engine 5 years ago.

The oil pressure light has suddenly come on with an awful buzzer. I have check for leaks and the oil level is ok.No sign of overheating. Could it be the pressure switch ?

Anybody had similiar probs?

Cheers Rob. Don't want to go too far in case it knackers the engine.

The tech thread about this seems a bit heavy , but..... I have noticed that the water temp guage has also packed up. On a van of this miles I suspect the dash wiring is playing up. The nightime dash lights gave up years ago.

The hunt continues.

Not long since had same problem. Got oil pressure checked was ok. Got sparky to check and was wiring at dash end. He by passed buzzer an wired led so if oil pressure goes wonky light comes on.

But first port of call is get pressure checked.
