Hi All

It's me again with my bloody buzzer (have i killed my camper thread), it started buzzing again. Van can tick over happily all day, when ever i put my foot on accelerator, that nerve jangling buzzer kicks in. I stalled engine but buzzer keeps going. Have cleaned all connections including multi socket at instrument panel, no joy.

The original problem was one of the wires was shorting against the alternator, do you think it needs a rewire?

All I can say is that in Coventry, the mere mention of the T25 buzzer with local mechanics automatically prompts a look of doom and despair. I once remarked that my buzzer had never worked, to which the answer was "Count yourself lucky".

Mine still doesn't work and never had a problem so far. Reminds me of a beetle I drove from Manningtree in Essex to Stoneleigh in Warwickshire in the 80s, known as 'Fat Bob'. The oil light was on constantly all the way so we effectived a miracle cure...

We simply stuck a lump of blue-tac over the light and that was that!

jpee,
Have you read through this bit of the wiki?
If the wiring is open circuit (bad connection... broken wire) the buzzer will sound, if you earth the wire the buzzer will stop if the wiring is ok.
