Eberspacher - Have you seen one of these before?

Hi - following on from my recent help, I have yet another question....
I have an eber heater on my van (1981 - petrol/T25). I have looked at the eber entries (wiki) but only found instructions/advice for a comparatively small heaters. Mine is massive! (ooh ahh missus!!!).
I do not know the model - I have looked but can not see a number. I took some photos but do not have access to a server so cant show you!
The heater has two pipes going into it - runs the length of the middle section of the van and has a exhast pipe that comes down and has a funny sort of guard on the end. Heater is covered in metal finish box, bit like a fuel tank. It has a connector with four or five wires attached. Has a pump going to it.
In the cab there is a green knob with + and - on it. There is also a wierd box with a little red lever in the corner. Four cables coming off the top and four coloured boxes saying ON, ON, A, A. Seems like some sort of control - but not really sure what it does, especially the little red lever (thats too lazy to crow - ha ha!).
Anyhow - cant get it to work by turning green knob. Could anyone shed some light on the model and also how I should go about getting it to work? Where should the model number be?
Many thanks - Christian. (sorry - it turned into a bit of an essay)
