Drained the oil on the engine we never got going & a few little treasures
came out!...
cylinderie pistonie type bits?
there'e 4 different types of bits, the red stuff at the bottom maybe
yucky deposits of some sort?.
the other bits are more concerning,.
as most of it's probably still in there do you think it's worth rebuilding,
would the bottom end be f*cked up by floatie broken bits??

thankyee,
k8

Whey Hey,,,,,,,nice bits of engine you have there, as you say they really should be attached to something inside,,,,,

I'd only be taking it to pieces if you really have bugger all else to do,,,,,,personally I'd be spending the time making the van ready for a replacement engine.....

I agree with Fritz, slap another donk in.
Some of those look like bits of an oil scraper ring.

We've got another one in there, sounds a bit rough but nothing scary fell out when we changed the oil in it

Also have another engine that we got off ebay, very oily and cruddy, but it now looks like the best candidate for a top end rebuild, depending what we find when we drain it of oil
