Audi V6 to 094 Gearbox

I want to install an Audi V6 to a 094 gearbox but I can't find much info on the internet. In south africa you can buy a bellhousing that is used to install an Audi 5 cil. into a Vanagon and they have the same bolt patern.
But I can not find any info regarding the flywheel.
Can I use the original one from the V6 or the one from a WBX?
Do I need to buy a new one?

Hope someone can help me...............

Thanks, BART

difficult one, you need to look in the "alternative engines forum"... Try also the Brickyard forum and then on the german forums (if your german is any good!!)
I doubt very much the wbx flywheel will fit the v6.....
The German co Winkler might be able to help

PS, please fill out your profile with location..

WBX flywheel will not fit v6, fairly sure auid one is too big, possibly the 5 cylinder flywheel wil fit. Which engine 2 or 5 valve, 2 valve is a heavy gutless lump of "pooh".

A fellow by the same namea asked this question from a fellow named Herman. Here's the Q&A on the topic:

Hi Bart, yes I did machine my flywheel, it came off an 5000 gas Turbo engine.
I used an Audi A6 pressure plate and machined the flywheel a little deeper so that it would fit.
I used the Turbo Diesel clutch plate but I am still trying to find a plate that has a larger diameter and the right splines in it.

Update, I ended up using the flywheel and pressure plate from a Vovo D24 (Audi TD is the same)because the throwout bearing had some clearance but not enough to compensate for clutch wear when the clutch plate gets older.

I had to do a bit of grinding inside the bellhousing, some of the pressure plate rivets were just rubbing a bit.

The Volvo clutch plate has more splines and will not fit!

Would be better sticking with lighter waterboxer, audi 2 valve v6's are "pooh".
