Hi
I need to replace the rear brake pipes from the cylinders to the flexi hoses and thinking of making them up myself. Could anyone advise me on the correct size/type of pipe and fittings. Also best place to purchase these and a flaring kit.
Many Thanks

I replaced my brake pipes last year
I got all my brake parts ie flexi's,pipe, connectors from Brakes International, But thats because they were local to me.
I got a flaring tool kit from Screw Fix for under £20. It did the job and is still in working order although some dont rate the cheaper kits this one was ok.
Where do you live as if you or anyone near by need to borrow one its here. (North Manchester)
You can source the sizes from the wiki https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Br ... pipe_parts

if you've got a proper old fashioned independent motor factors near you they should be able to supply all you require. Good ones will make the pipes up for you, if you take in the old ones for them to copy. If you think you're going to look after a couple of motors it's worth buying your own tools and DIY. Good thing is that the new pipes will last or ever cos the aftemarket pipe is copper not plated steel so won't corrode.

Thanks for both your replys and the advice given. I have another brake pipe that looks a bit suspect so I am going to invest in a flaring kit and give it a go myself. Jonno, I live in Bridgend South Wales so I am a bit to far away to call in for a borrow of the kit, but thanks very much for your kind offer.

Many Thanks
