Change them over the one on the new one will give less power.

You will need a dial gauge and a manual if you have not done before, it will be well worth the effort, that new pump you have is a nasty one.

Cheers Andy, the help is appreciated!
started stripping all the pipes and wiring from the old engine ready for removal (labelling and photographing as I went!)
Had to change over alternator mounting plate and the turbo is different as well with EGR fitted..Is it worth swapping this for the old turbo as well?

Does it have to screw in to the hole or just sit in it?
Where can I get the camshaft locking bar and gubbins from?
Ripping out the old and fitting the new AAZ this weekend...wish me luck!!

1) No don't think so, any as long as pushrod thin enough to go into hole
2) Just sit in it without moving
3) Borrow or buy cheaply (think GSF might do a kit) - if in trouble might be able to get down with one Sunday, where in Hampshire, have sprocket plug too
PS No expert, but seen timing done (once
)

AAAHH!! there is someone there!
I think old turbo has survived although I suppose I won't really know until I spin it up.
One question I do have is can the engine be dropped in to the top of the engine bay or does it have to fit from underneath?

underneath bst, have you a farm jack?
slide on sheet of 3/4" plywood works OK, so lift vehcile minimum amount (but still quite high)

I probably should have scrolled down and read the rest of your post......no farm jack unfortunately just trolley jack and axle stands . Ramps are no good as I can't move the bus!
