It's BMW Atlantis blue, It doesn't photograph well. If you search you will find it looks different under all different lighting.

I also bought the wheels I have wanted for ages, They took a little finding.

I have with this round of upgrades also made and fitted electric windows (I used some T4 units I had that I had to heavily modify), opening quarterlights and remote central locking to the front doors for now. Also added the electrics for electric power steering later.

No, But they look a lot like them, Which is good enough for me

I just have to make some centercaps as the ones provided aren't deep enough. I also found the original bolts are not quite long enough with these so will be swapping those too maybe tomorrow.

Very pleased with the service there, They made sure they would fit and delivered them well wrapped up, My only slight issue is a couple of the balance weights fell off

I will see if that matters when I drive it at speed, If it's a problem I will replace all the suspension bushes and get the geometry set up as well as the balance work, Should drive nice after that. I only moved to Mansfield 1 year ago and have yet to find a place for tyres and tracking.

Did you paint it yourself or get it done by a shop?
I am curious for price guides, coz now I have mine it would benefit from a paint job.

I did it myself, I moved house last year and now have a double garage, That made it somewhat easier as I can paint the doors and body at the same time (I removed them and hung them up to paint inside and out). So the cost to you would come from equipment first, then materials. I already had a 150l compressor and all the electrical sanding equipment one might need + a powerful diesel heater. I also had a good spray gun that I bought for a previous project. This time I added an air fed mask (Which was just awesome).

So, Compressor, Spray Gun, Airline, Pressure regulator, Breathing aparatus, Space to work are all needed first, Lots of sandpaper, wipes and tack cloths, gunwash thinners, masking tape (Depending on how far you strip it) Maybe a heater unless you paint in summer, (I have a couple of thermometers at each end of the garage, if they both read over 15c I find that is warm enough to paint, warmer is better though) Then of course your paint and primers. I used https://www.rapidpaints.co.uk/ for the base coat and I got the clearcoat from Ebay, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173760610847 I have used that clear coat before and know it to be good.

Lots of patience too, I am sadly lacking in this department... But the more time you spend on prep the better it will be.

I think I used 5L of base that mixes 50/50 to make 10L of fluid, Which to do a van inside and out minus the roof isn't quite enough I would say... I wish I had bought 7.5L as although the thin areas will be covered it bothers me to know they are there. I put loads of clear on though

Spray gunDeVilbiss FLG-5 1.3mm Paint Spray Gravity Spray Gun It has a 1.3mm nozzle, not ideal for primer, not ideal for paint either but a sort of compromise for all jobs. To get a more perfect clearcoat you might need to use some smaller nozzle... However I am content to do a spot of polishing.

You will also need somewhere to store all your parts that you remove, So cost will depend on what you have, what your circumstances are. but you can look at the links and get costs on paints. And have a look to see what equipment you might need.

I have tried to cover the important aspects, Apologies if I missed anything. If anyone has anything to add please do.

Some excellent info in there, thanks for that, unfortunately I think it is well out of my scope of expertise, I turn into a quivering wreck when I stand close to a paint brush!!
