Having had the headlight glass fall out a few years ago, the mirroring has now tarnished. I suspect some oily mess got onto the reflector and ruined it...

I had a look on the usual websites for a replacement, and was appalled at the prices for a new one. I found a very promising wiki entry (VW Electrics Round Headlight Upgrade - VW T25(T3)-Tech (club8090.co.uk)) which suggested there's a cheaper option using generic "lucas" headlights, but I'm stumped as to how to find these on Euro Car Parts website.

Can anyone help me find these cheaper "lucas" ones, i.e is there a part number or a link to Euro Car Parts?

"Lucas" lamps are a standard 7" headlamp fitted to all sorts of cars from the 1950s onwards, EG Mini, Morris minors, Defender, and millions of others.

T25 round lamps are the same size, but the mounting holes are different.

Just search for 7" headlamp and try and get one from a half decent manufacturer (wipac etc).

I'm using ones from a web shop 'powerfuluk'. I've had them for about 5 years, they do the job well. Meant for a land rover I think, so the bezels need some tweaking- I can't really remember what needed to be done!
